Who we are

Umgone is run by AI Technology. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean AI Technology, and “you” means the person using the site.

Who may use it

Umgone is for adults: you must be 18 or over. By using it you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.

Your own voice only

Record only yourself. Do not record another person, a meeting, a call or a video, and do not play someone else’s voice into the microphone: the site is made to measure the one person speaking.

What the numbers are

Umgone is for your own practice. Its numbers are estimates from one minute on one day, made by our own code from the sound of your recording, and they can be wrong. They are never a diagnosis, a test result, a level or a certificate, and they say nothing about how you felt or what you meant.

Use Umgone only for yourself. It is not a tool for an employer, a recruiter or a school, and its numbers must never be used to judge, hire, grade or turn away anyone.

For practice, not therapy: for a voice or speech problem, see a speech-language pathologist. Umgone is not a medical or speech-therapy service.

The free takes

Each person may have 3 takes measured for free each day (the voice test and the four tools share them) and one free drill, counted by day in UTC. A take that gives no number (too short, or too quiet to measure) is not counted. We may change the free counts, and this page will say when we do.

Payments

Nothing on Umgone costs money today, and you cannot be charged. Before a paid plan goes on sale, these terms will give its price, its trial, how to cancel and how refunds work, and nothing will be charged before you agree to them.

Using the site fairly

• no automated or scripted use: no robots, scrapers or many accounts to get around the daily counts;
• no attempt to break, overload or get around the site’s protections;
• no recording that is unlawful to make or share where you live.

We may stop measuring for a browser or an address that breaks these terms.

What is ours, and what is yours

The site, its words, its prompts, its drills and its look are ours. Your recording and the words you said are yours: we use them only to measure that minute, as the privacy policy says, and we keep neither.

The service as it is

We work to keep Umgone running and its numbers right, but we provide it as it is and as available, and it may change or pause. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you make from its numbers or for losses that come from using it. Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under the law where you live.

Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
